Students and Teachers,

Congratulations on making the 2018 Allstate Jazz Band!
The 2018 performance will take place on Tuesday
February 6th, 2018 at 7:00p.m. in the John F. Welsh Auditorium (Natrona County HS). Wyoming Jazz Educators Association in conjunction with the Kinser Jazz Festival at Casper College sponsor this event, and you will be opening for The Ben Markly Big Band with special guest Joel Frahm.

The rehearsals will be held in MU112 in the music building at Casper College. This year we have pleasure to work with Dr. Dan Jonas from Weber State University. He is an outstanding player and music educator and I know you will have a great experience.

Sunday, February 4th
4-6 p.m. Rehearsal
6pm – Dinner Provided by Casper College
7-9ish Rehearsal

Monday, February 5th
8a.m. – 12 Rehearsal
Noon – Lunch on your own
1-5p.m. – Rehearsal

Tuesday, February 6th
8a.m. – 12 Rehearsal
Noon – Lunch on your own
5-6 p.m. - Sound Check –NCHS Auditorium (Subject to Change) 6 p.m. – Dinner Provided by WyoJazz
Performance @ 7:00 p.m. NCHS Auditorium

Due to time constraints and postage costs, I will email PDF files of your music. Please print and tape them together, make sure all of your measures are numbered, bring a pencil, and come prepared at the level that you could comfortably play your part alone. Also, please bring black slacks and dress shoes to perform in. You will be provided with a Wyo Jazz Polo

Please schedule your bands to perform at the festival Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday so we can have all students in the rehearsals.
